Black and Blue

The dark black lava rock of Maui, Hawaii contrasts beautifully against the deep blue waters and sky. The particular image was captured near the Nakalele Blowhole which is on the northern end of the island. Rough waves from the north crash against these brittle rocks and over time have slowly eroded a hole into the rocks that shoots a spout into the sky. Its humbling to realize how much power the ocean and waves can unleash.
